Nicholas’ family lives humbly in a small village, dealing with multiple life challenges at once. The family has a challenging experience as 2 of their 3 children have been diagnosed with very severe illnesses. Adding to their trials, Nicolas, their youngest boy was also diagnosed with nasopharyngeal-maxillary cancer at only 6 years old.

He's in critical condition at a hospital, where he has been receiving intensive chemo- and radiotherapy. His mother is by his side, while the father, retired on sick leave, stays at home with the remaining two children.

Their story serves as a crushing reminder of life's inequalities – while some get to enjoy a life without care, others struggle, fighting death without really knowing what it represents.
